Prittle Brook Cycle Route

Prittle Brook Greenway is a footpath and cycleway linking Belfairs Park in the west of the Borough to Priory Park further east. It provides access to residential areas, schools, Southend Hospital, allotments, parks and open spaces and Central Southend. It has an attractive environmental quality as it extends alongside Prittle Brook, the only visually apparent waterway running through the Borough. Our objective is to improve the quality of the route to facilitate an increase in use by both pedestrians and cyclists. Project development will cover improvements in surfacing, fencing and bollards, as well as crossing points with a number of residential roads. Further feasibility work will inform future design and funding requirements.
