Two Tree Island to the west of the Borough is an important site for nature conservation and for outdoor recreation covering in excess of 600 acres. Investment is required to enhance existing nature conservation work on the Island, and improve signage and way finding facilities to encourage visitors throughout the year. Local communities will be encouraged, through Essex Wildlife Trust who manage the island, to take part in habitat restoration and creation work on the ground.
