Green infrastructure is the parks, open spaces, foreshore, waterways and green links which are important factors in making Southend an attractive place in which to live and do business.
Due to Southend’s tight urban landscape, ensuring that there is good access to quality green space in a variety of forms is a priority for Renaissance Southend and our partners.
A Steering Group has been established to oversee scoping work for a New Country Park to the north east of the Borough, and we are working closely with Southend Borough Council and Essex Wildlife Trust on projects at Belfairs Woods, Gunners Park and Two Tree Island.
