The opportunity exists for an internationally significant Digital ‘Media Gallery’ to be a key element of a major development site in Central Southend. A new facility of this nature would enable the art world to come together with business and technology sectors to create a thriving hub for innovation, artistic display and research. It would also put Southend at the forefront of digital art and display innovation, an increasingly important factor in many sector of the economy.
We are currently considering the options for taking this project forward, the first stage of which is a feasibility study which will report in early April 2008.
